C.J. Anderson & Company has recently received c(UL)us approval on its Class I Division 1- Groups B, C & D and Class I, Division 2 -Groups E, F, & G (explosion proof, NEMA 7/9) operators; push buttons, push/pull buttons, rotary or selector switches and key switch assemblies.

These operators are designed specifically for the elevator industry. They feature all metal construction (no plastics), corrosion resistant stainless steel springs, long lasting Teflon 'O' rings, and stackable contacts with unlimited contact configuration.

Another major improvement is that the key switch assemblies can be made to accept the major fire service key cylinders such as 3502, 2642, and SC1000. In many cases in the past, fire service in hazardous locations was either eliminated or installed without meeting NEMA 7/9 standards.

ACT-1 Pendant Remote Car Top

C. J. Anderson & Company announces the most advanced portable car top inspection station in the market, ACT I (Auxiliary Car Top). This lightweight, 2 ½ pounds, hand held inspection station features a built-in high intensity flashlight along with Stop, Enable, Up and Down Buttons and Door Open/Close and Car Leveling Up/Down momentary switches. It comes with a fourteen conductor 15 foot self-coiling cable, and is easily hard wired to any existing stationary car top inspection station. The cable, when relaxed, is approximately 24" in length, which is simply stored along side or under the stationary car top. This indestructible station has a NEMA 4X rating, shock and corrosion resistant, and comes in a highly visible safety yellow color. The integral flashlight features a Xenon Star lamp that produces up to 300% more usable light and 400% more range. It will send a beam the entire length of most hatchways. This new station is another component in the C. J. Anderson complete line of water and corrosion resistant equipment. However, because of its versatility, one-handed operation, lightweight, task lighting and multiple operational functions, it is recommended for use on all elevators. In addition to meeting the ASME A17.a 2000 Code, Section 2.26, it is also UL-CSA-CE approved.

CJA Creates Another New/Old Classic Antique Fixture Style

C. J. Anderson & Company has added another new style to its Classic Fixture line. This one is called Rope Design, a border casting made to accept material inserts. The fixture shown was made specifically for a NYC co-operative. This particular fixture is an attendant controlled car switch operation. It has a built in TV screen with the choice of viewing either A or B camera, and has a Taxi call button. This is another example of CJA’s ability to meet one-of-a-kind requirements.

The rope design style used to make this fixture can be adapted for any type of application. The border itself is a solid casting with provision for a recessed inlay. The inlay can be bronze, brass, bright nickel, stainless steel or just about any metal or finish you prefer. The border can be of similar or contrasting material. Pictured are matching rope design borders which could be used for car stations, hall stations, phone cabinets, small operating panels, signage, whatever you need or can envision.
