Door Interlocks

Horizontal Sliding Doors

L-1: Left Hand Door Interlock: (A) Standard Heavy Duty

Single Contact Interlock This is a single contact electrical and mechanical interlock used with a stationary cam. The interlock mounts on the door jamb or frame inside the hoistway. The locking latch mounts to the inside door edge. When the door is closed the contact is made and the solid brass hook catches behind the locking bar, mechanically locking the door. When the car stops at a floor the cam pushes the release roller, mechanically unlocking the door and opening the electrical contact. These are made for either right-hand or left-hand mounting interlocks. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered.
