Double Contact Interlock This interlock is specifically designed for mounting to cement or cinder block wall or anywhere where the lock must fit around a ninety degree edge. It has two contacts, wired in series together as part of the safety circuit. The upper is the door contact, the lower is the locking contact which is both electrical and mechanical. When the door is closed the upper (door) contact is made. When the retiring cam is retracted the bottom contact is made and the locking bar goes into the catch on the door edge, mechanically locking the door. When the car stops at a floor the retiring cam pushes the release roller, mechanically unlocking the door and opening the bottom electrical contact. When the door is opened the top contact drops by gravity. Although this is designed for use with a retiring cam it can be used with a stationary cam . When ordering specify hand. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered. Interlock for Single Swing Door - (right hand model pictured - to be used with a stationary cam) This is the same operation as the RSB except it is for a single swing door only. When ordered complete the interlock comes with one straight drive bar, offset drive bar and pickup roller assembly (dimensions from data sheet prepared by customer), one locking bar assembly and one door handle to be mounted to the swing door on the hall side. Emergency release of the interlock is made with a KEB, EBK pull chain and box. When ordering specify hand. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered. A data sheet showing door height, width, thickness, running clearance, corner offsets and depth of jamb must accompany the order. These interlocks can be made with hermetically sealed contacts for NEMA 4, 12 (water/dust resistant), or NEMA 9 (hazardous location) applications. Double Contact Interlock (right hand model shown) This interlock has two contacts, wired in series together as part of the safety circuit. The upper is the door contact, the lower is the locking contact which is both electrical and mechanical. The interlock mounts on the door jam or frame inside the hoistway. The locking latch mounts to the inside door edge. When the door is closed the upper (door) contact is made. When the retiring cam is retracted the bottom contact is made and the solid brass hook catches behind the locking bar, mechanically locking the door. When the car stops at a floor the retiring cam pushes the release roller, mechanically unlocking the door and opening the bottom electrical contact. When the door is opened the top contact drops by gravity. Although this is designed for use with a retiring cam it can be used with a stationary cam. Emergency release of the interlock is made with a CJA lunar key. When ordering specify hand. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered
