This is a normally open contact switch which makes or closes when the operating lever is forced inward. It contains sturdy, self wiping copper to carbon contacts to work at up to 250 volts AC or DC. This cast gray iron switch is designed for use with single, vertical lift up sliding gates. When the gate is closed the contact is made. When the gate is up the contact is open, it is maintained in the open position by compression springs and the force of gravity. Because of this gravity action the switch can only be mounted one way. Therefore, it is manufactured for left or right hand applications. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered. This switch is usually used on unmanned lifts such as dumb waiters, material lifts, hoists, etc. **Hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out into the hallway. Which ever side the interlock is mounted is the hand that it is.

This is a normally open contact switch which makes or closes when the operating lever is depressed. It contains sturdy, self wiping copper to carbon contacts to work at up to 250 volts AC or DC. This cast aluminum switch is designed specifically for use on collapsible gates or sliding doors which require a separate electrical gate contact. The GA-1 is positively opened when the roller leaves the operating lever. It is maintained in the open position by the force of gravity. Because this is a gravity operated switch it must be mounted horizontally with the operating lever down. The contacts are attached to the body of the switch housing thus permitting the switch to be mounted either right or left handed. Note: Roller assembly is included with each GA-1 but is not pictured above.

This corrosion resistant switch has an 11 gauge zinc plated steel enclosure with a cast brass operating lever. It contains sturdy, self wiping copper to carbon contacts to work at up to 250 volts AC or DC. This is a normally open contact switch which makes or closes when the operating lever is depressed. The closed contact permits operation of the driving machine and stops operation of the driving machine when pressure is removed from the lever, opening the contact. The contacts and lever are both spring loaded to open automatically when the pressure is removed. Some common uses for this switch are: • Applications with vertical rise gates • Collapsible Gates • Swing Doors The switch is designed to be mounted vertical, horizontal or upside down.
