RSB-2: Lock Complete (data sheet required) |
Interlock for Double Swinging Doors with Door Partition & Stationary Cam
This is the same operation as the RSB except it has two independent locks. This lock is for applications which have a center obstruction, such as conveyor rails, overhead hoist, etc. Although there are two locks there is only one handle, for the active door.
When ordered complete the interlock comes with one straight drive bar, offset drive bar and pickup roller assembly (dimensions from data sheet prepared by customer), two locking bar assemblies and one door handle to be mounted to the active door on the hall side of the door.
Emergency release of the interlock is made with a KEB pull chain and box.
When ordering specify hand. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered.
A data sheet showing door height, width, thickness, running clearance, corner offsets and depth of jamb must accompany the order. (page 104)
These interlocks can be made with hermetically sealed contacts for NEMA 4, 12 (water/dust resistant), or NEMA 9 (hazardous location) applications.
Features
• All Solid Cast Parts • Heavy Duty Contacts • 250 Volts AC or DC • Self Wiping Contacts

RSB: Lock Complete (data sheet required) |
Interlock for Double Swinging Doors with Stationary Cam (right hand model shown)
This interlock has two contacts, one for each door, wired in series together as part of the safety circuit. These contacts are made when the doors are closed. The interlock mounts horizontally on the top center jamb where the doors meet. Each door has a locking bar assembly vertically mounted, consisting of a bar and a locking hook latch. When the door is closed the locking hook latch engages the door contact drive, mechanically latching the door, and closes that door contact. When both doors are closed and latched the elevator is set to run. When the roller assembly leaves the stationary cam the safety link rotates into the hook latch assembly on the active door preventing door opening while the car is in motion.
When the car stops at a floor, the stationary cam pushes the roller assembly, unlatching the safety link. When the door bars are manually lifted, they release the hook latch assembly and the doors can be opened.
When ordered complete the interlock comes with one straight drive bar, offset drive bar and pickup roller assembly (dimensions from data sheet prepared by customer), two locking bar assemblies and one door handle to be mounted to the active door on the hall side of the door. RSB lock only is also available.
These interlocks can be made with hermetically sealed contacts for NEMA 4, 12 (water/dust resistant), or Class 1, Division 2 (hazardous location) applications.

SDC: Lock Complete (data sheet required) |
Interlock for Double Swinging Doors with Retiring Cam (right hand model shown)
Same as the RSB except for use with a retiring cam. This interlock has three contacts, one for each door and one for the retiring cam, wired in series as part of the safety circuit. The door contacts are made when the doors are closed; the retiring cam circuit contact is made when the cam is retracted. The interlock mounts horizontally on the top center jamb where the doors meet. Each door has a locking bar assembly vertically mounted, consisting of a bar and a locking hook latch. When the door is closed the locking hook latch engages the door contact drive mechanically latching the door and closes that door contact. When both doors are closed and latched the elevator is now set to run. When the roller assembly leaves the retiring cam the safety link rotates into the hook latch assembly on the active door preventing door opening while the car is in motion.
When the car stops at a floor the retiring cam pushes the roller assembly, unlatching the safety link. When the door bars are manually lifted they release the hook latch assembly and the doors can be opened.
When ordered complete the interlock comes with one straight drive bar, offset drive bar and pickup roller
assembly (dimensions from data sheet prepared by
customer), two locking bar assemblies and one door handle
to be mounted to the active door on the hall side of the
door.
The RSB lock is used for this same application with the exception that it is used with a stationary cam.
When ordering specify hand. The hand is determined by standing inside the elevator looking out. The side on which the lock is to be mounted (left or right) is the hand to be ordered.
A data sheet showing door height, width, thickness, running clearance, corner offsets and depth of jamb must accompany the order.
